The Police Sergeant performs responsible work directing a team of sworn police officers in the field to provide public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations.

Minimum Qualifications- Graduation from high school or GED
- Six years of law enforcement experience including experience in a supervisory role as a Police Corporal or equivalent position
- General certification issued by North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards
- Valid NC driver’s license or valid out-of-state driver’s license with the ability to obtain a valid NC driver’s license within sixty days of employment and good driving record
Varied Schedule, rotating shifts, flexibility in assignments (patrol or investigations). 42 Hours per Week. Paid bi-weekly.
