Overview

Are you passionate about quality assurance and eager to make a difference in the manufacturing industry? At EGGER North America, we are looking for a dedicated Quality Technician to join our dynamic Quality Management Team! In this exciting role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the excellence of our products. Your responsibilities include conducting routine sampling and testing of EGGER Products to ensure they meet our high standards;

utilizing a variety of analytical and precision measuring instruments to analyze product quality; and working closely with senior colleagues and management to communicate any irregularities and seek guidance, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Schedule

12-hour rotating 7-7 swing shift (2-2-3) 2 weeks days & 2 weeks nights.

Job Functions
  • Work safely in a material testing environment, maintaining excellent housekeeping whilst following appropriate safety, environment and risk management systems.
  • Understand and follow quality procedures to meet the requirements of quality standards relevant to the workplace.
  • Perform product tests following specified methodologies, such as Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Demonstrate technical competence in the use of specified instrumentation and analytical equipment, including calibration where required.
  • Produce reliable, accurate data and keep accurate records of the work undertaken and results within the organization’s systems.
  • Maintain an orderly and administrative section for the department, including analysis, interpretation and evaluation data and identifying results that require further investigation.
  • Communicate testing information appropriately, including the use of Quality Data Analysis systems, either digital or paper based.
  • Recognize problems and apply appropriate methods to identify causes and achieve solutions.
  • Participate in continuous performance improvement.
  • Develop and apply theoretical knowledge of relevant science and technology required for the job role.
  • Understand the business environment in which the company operates including personal role within the organization, ethical practice and codes of conduct.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Background / Experience
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing quality role preferred.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency – working with Microsoft Excel and PC-based applications.
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively.
  • Good organizational and troubleshooting skills.
  • Reading and interpreting analytical information.
Schedule Demands
  • Schedule:

    12-hour rotating 7-7 swing shift (2-2-3) 2 weeks days & 2 weeks nights.
Physical Demands
  • Physical strength, stamina and agility to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds, as well as sit, stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Work in fast‑paced environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
  • Manual dexterity to handle and use various office hand and electrical tools or equipment to perform routine functions.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
