You walk the line at Siemens Mobility’s Rolling Stock facility, where passenger coaches and light rail vehicles for North America take shape. In a high‑energy, safety‑first environment, you prepare, prime, and finish stainless and carbon‑steel car bodies so they leave the plant with a flawless, durable finish.

What you’ll do- Prepare, prime, and apply topcoat on light rail vehicles.
- Hand, block, and mechanically sand car shells to ready them for primer and paint.
- Mask and clean surfaces to ensure proper coating adhesion.
- Apply primers and undercoats to specification.
- Perform routine maintenance on paint equipment and tools.
- Support fellow painters and the broader team as needed.
- High school diploma or GED (or an equivalent mix of education and relevant hands‑on experience in painting or related materials in a manufacturing setting).
- 1+ year of painting experience in a production or similar environment.
- Basic English skills to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, contracted services, and teammates.
- Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and technical documents.
- Competence with arithmetic using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; able to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and interpret bar graphs.
- Frequent walking; reaching; stooping; kneeling; crouching; or crawling.
- Regular climbing of stairs, steps, and ladders.
- Work on elevated platforms and perform overhead tasks.
- Lift and move up to 40 pounds.

The base rate range for this role in Lexington, NC is $16.00/hr - $19.68/hr final pay will depend on budget as well as your experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
