Position: Production Associate II - Loader -1st Shift *

OB DETAILS

Base Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

1st Shift: 7am-3pm Monday - Friday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of patio doors. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.

  • Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce patiodoors, and glass unit installs
  • May support the patio dooroperations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or doors
  • Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
  • Understand and carry out verbal instructions
  • Read and carry out simple written instructions
  • Read work orders, labels, and schedules
  • Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
  • Make fraction and decimal conversions
  • Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees
Qualifications WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Ability to read a tape measure as well as read and interpret fractions and decimals
  • Ability to read at least minimum word and number recognition/Visual Cues
  • Operate power tools with dexterity, basic operations, and knowing when to change PPE
  • Identify hazards while understanding station knowledge of safety hazards/protocols/PPE
  • Variations – having knowledge of measurement standards and tolerances
  • Follow instruction and Standard Work while frequently referencing Standard work instructions
  • Knowledge of product defects specifically to their workstation
  • Quality Recognition In station quality requirements/CTQ
  • Communicate Effectively by actively Listening, Explain Clearly & Accurately, Ask Questions, Share Important Info.
  • Time Management and aware of Cycle Times
  • Ability to perform math by adding numbers, subtracting, including fractions and decimals
  • Interface with a computer system by accessing, navigating, identifying download
  • Stand for 8 to 10 hours using good Posture and repetitive motion
  • Problem Solving using Root Cause Analysis
  • Dependability being on time consistently
  • Profile Recognition ability to recognize shapes and compare to sample drawing
  • Monitor Inventory by adhering to min-max levels (WIP)
    Utilization of Scrap
  • Record keeping being Accurate, Timely, Legible/Scrap
  • Ability to wear required PPE – metatarsal shoes, arm guards, ear protection, and safety glasses
  • Dependability/punctuality & Detail Oriented.
  • High school diploma is preferred.
  • Ability to bend, squat, twist, push/pull, reach and stand is required
  • Ability to consistently lift at least 50 pounds, 8 to 12 hours a day is required
  • Ability to work in hot & cold environment is required
  • Be able to work extended hours and weekend based on business needs is required
  • Willing & able to work various positions in various departments (cross-trained) is required
  • Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods is required
  • Able to comply with all company policies and procedures, including all safety regulations is required
  • Ability to follow Supervisors instructions/directions as given is required
  • Possess the following skills: problem solving, teamwork, communication and initiative.
  • Preferred knowledge of WTS Paradigm and various ERP functionality
