Substitute Teacher / Paraprofessional

We are hiring substitutes in Lexington School District for the upcoming 2025‑2026 school year. No previous experience is required!

Substituting is an excellent opportunity to mentor students and help them become the best versions of themselves. Substitutes are essential in ensuring students continue to learn and grow every day.

Minimum requirements:

• HS diploma
• Negative TB skin test within the past year
• $95.00/day

Responsibilities:

• Assume duties of the district employee in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies
• Empower students to learn and encourage classroom participation
• For long‑term teacher assignments, develop lesson plans, administer and grade tests and assignments

Substitute teachers may also be referred to as substitute educator, guest teacher, or relief teacher.

Substitute aides may also be referred to as paraprofessionals, education technicians, teacher’s aide, instructional assistant, classroom assistant, or education assistant.
