We are seeking an Electronic Security (ESS) Installation Technician to join our mission-driven team. This role offers hands-on technical work, opportunities to travel to unique locations across the U.S., and the chance to contribute to projects that support national defense and public safety.

As an ESS Installation Technician, you’ll play a critical role in delivering reliable, high-quality security solutions that protect people, property, and critical facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, and repair electronic security systems and data communication networks
- Work with access control, intrusion detection, and video surveillance systems
- Install and terminate copper and fiber cabling
- Perform system testing, functional checks, and documentation
- Collaborate with teammates and other trades to ensure successful project execution
- 2+ years of experience installing low-voltage structured cabling systems (Fiber/Data, Access Control, CCTV, IDS)
- Knowledge of low-voltage electronics, wiring, and industry color standards
- Experience coordinating work in construction or active jobsite environments
- Basic networking knowledge and use of test equipment
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass DMV, drug, and background screenings
- Willingness to travel up to 70% and ability to obtain government clearance
- Lenel, Milestone, or AXIS systems
- Federal government or secure facility projects
- Networking certifications or advanced technical training
Pay: $22.00–$26.00/hour (DOE)
Pay may vary based on project type, work location, and prevailing wage requirements. Trofholz ensures all compensation practices comply with federal and state labor laws, including FLSA and prevailing wage standards.
