At Fast Pace Urgent Care, X‑Ray Techs provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. They deliver outstanding patient service, maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere, and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response in addition to imaging. The X‑Ray Tech will provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent in‑depth knowledge and communicating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to fulfill all responsibilities of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist position as detailed in the specific job description.
  • Deliver clinical and administrative support for the team and adhere to all policies and procedures of the company.
  • Monitor and track X‑ray orders so they can be completed and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Assist patient with proper positioning during the exam to ensure diagnostic quality.
  • Ensure activities comply with federal and state regulations, guidelines, and requirements, including HIPAA.
  • Review exam images for initial read by provider.
  • Send final images to Radiology group for over‑read.
  • Correctly label laterality of all images using an initialed lead marker.
  • Confirm that no removable artifacts are in the anatomy requested and ensure proper technique is used.
  • Address minor maintenance issues with the machines and follow up with the nurse coordinator or Clinic Director for consultation prior to outsourcing calls.
  • Monitor the condition of the cassettes and other equipment for wear or malfunction and submit problems to the Imaging Director for rectification. Clean cassettes, chest bucky, and exam table after each use to avoid cross‑contamination.
  • Maintain and distribute pregnancy waiver forms where applicable.
  • Triage patients by checking vitals, collecting pertinent clinical history, and recording all necessary information for charting. Perform blood draws, give injections, administer oral medications, and other basic nursing tasks when not directly involved in the radiographic exam, if applicable in your state.
  • Monitor and read X‑ray badge monthly.
  • Wear radiation monitors at all times in the X‑ray room and maintain required reporting.
  • Learn compliance aspects by completing all mandatory training.
  • Welcome new employees on their first day and facilitate introductions, clinic tours, and an overview of clinic processes.
  • Assist new employees with learning activities and completing required training.
  • Support new employee training by providing shadowing, demonstration, and coaching opportunities.
  • Maintain friendly, cordial relations with all employees and clients.
  • Build and maintain confidence and credibility with all employees.
  • Perform physical, sensory, cognitive, and environmental functions as specified on the physical demands.
  • Comply with Company standards of operations.

Experience Requirements and Preferences
  • Current License or Certification
    • ARRT License (Registered Technologist)
    • State License (Registered Technologists' and Limited Scope)
    • License must be active, in good standing, and verifiable.
