Key Responsibilities
  • Identify signs of roof damage from street level (with company‑provided training).
  • Walk door‑to‑door in assigned neighborhoods and knock on doors to make contact with potential customers.
  • Speak face‑to‑face with homeowners, building trust by expertly citing damage observations, explaining risks, and offering valuable services.
  • Assess homeowners' roofing needs and determine the potential for weather damage or other issues requiring our services.
  • Schedule complimentary roof inspections between homeowners and our Certified Roofing Specialists.
  • Take direction from supervisors and Certified Roofing Specialists to identify and prioritize neighborhoods for canvassing.
  • Research and identify neighborhoods that could be sound opportunities for canvassing activity.
  • Track and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly metrics, including activity levels (doors knocked, appointments set, etc.) and outcomes (lead quality, conversion rate, etc.).
  • Represent Best Choice Roofing professionally and ethically at all times, adhering to company policies and maintaining a positive brand image.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and canvassing strategies.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including awareness of surroundings, traffic safety, and personal safety.
Qualifications
  • No experience required; customer service or sales experience is a plus.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage in clear and persuasive conversations.
  • Basic proficiency with mobile devices or tablets for data entry and communication.
  • Comfortable approaching and speaking with unfamiliar people in a door‑to‑door setting.
  • Self‑motivated, driven, and goal‑oriented.
  • Resilience and persistence in the face of rejection, with the ability to maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Basic organizational and time‑management skills to effectively plan canvassing routes and manage schedules.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
