Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
Our client is seeking a seasoned Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professional to serve as a trusted technical leader across regulatory compliance, environmental stewardship, and workplace safety. This individual will act as a strategic partner to operations and leadership, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety culture, sustainability, and operational performance.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in manufacturing environments, understands how EHS integrates into business operations, and enjoys leading programs that make a measurable impact.
Projects You’ll Work On- Leading and strengthening Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and enterprise-wide safety programs
- Partnering with leadership to elevate OSHA and EPA compliance across manufacturing operations
- Designing and deploying Behavior-Based Safety initiatives to reduce risk and prevent incidents
- Supporting environmental sustainability efforts, including waste reduction and pollution control
- Driving incident investigations using root cause and 5-Why methodologies
- Developing and delivering EHS training programs across the organization
- Leveraging metrics and analytics to identify trends, mitigate risk, and support business objectives
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and internal policies
- Monitoring emerging regulatory requirements and translating them into practical, compliant programs
- Acting as a technical advisor and leader to management on EHS-related matters
- Communicating EHS priorities, risks, and performance clearly across the organization
- Applying technical expertise to reduce environmental impact and improve workplace safety
- Utilizing available technologies and systems to control air and water pollution
- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting EHS data to support continuous improvement
- Leading investigations and corrective actions following incidents or near misses
- Supporting cross-site collaboration and, when needed, providing guidance to other facilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field
- 7+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing EHS programs with broad organizational impact
- Proven ability to influence peers and leadership and drive cultural change
- Experience with environmental remediation, pollution control systems, and equipment specifications
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and how EHS integrates into operations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point
- Strong background in chemical safety and engineering practices
- Occasional travel required (approximately 5–10%)
