** How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:
** The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis of patients.

The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist
* Operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images.
* Works with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients.
* Performs IV contrast injections and other skills as required.
* Evaluates and positions patients.
* Interprets information needed to identify each patient’s requirement and/or specific needs and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.
* Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.
* Assists patients with scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing Trains students and staff as assigned.
* May need to travel to other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.#
** What We Require:

* Education:

** High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.

* Experience:

** Licensure/Certification:
** Must be CT registered within one year of hire. ARRT registry
** Life Support:
** AHA-BLS-HCP
** Other:
** Good interpersonal and technical skills, and flexibility in assignments.
