Our manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Leader to drive compliance, champion safety culture, and lead environmental initiatives across our operations. Responsibilities- Lead compliance by ensuring adherence to all governmental regulations and internal EH&S policies, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
- Stay ahead by monitoring emerging regulations, assessing business impact, and implementing proactive compliance strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement by partnering with leadership to identify opportunities to enhance EH&S performance and achieve company objectives.
- Promote a safety culture by fostering a behavior‑based safety environment focused on eliminating risks and unsafe behaviors.
- Apply technical EH&S knowledge to minimize waste, reduce environmental impact, and improve operational processes.
- Analyze and act by collecting and interpreting EH&S metrics to mitigate risks and support strategic goals.
- Lead investigations by conducting root‑cause analyses using the 5‑Why methodology and implementing corrective actions.
- Train and develop by designing and delivering EH&S training programs to empower employees and strengthen compliance.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering/Sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred). - Experience:
7+ years in EH&S leadership (or 5+ years with a Master’s), with proven success in regulatory compliance and program management. - Expertise:
Deep understanding of EH&S regulations, chemical safety, and sustainable practices. - Leadership:
Ability to influence, motivate, and drive cultural change across teams. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with pollution control systems and environmental remediation projects. - Mindset:
Self‑motivated, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement.
