As a Quality Inspector, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance in our passenger railcar manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional passionate about quality assurance and continuous improvement in a dynamic, team‑driven environment.

• Leads critical non‑routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials.
• Works independently to perform complex and critical inspection processes, requiring special set‑ups of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources.
• Trains and/or oversees the work of less experienced inspectors.
• May conduct first article inspection of parts and assemblies.
• Prepares, approves inspection reports, charts, and records regarding quality measures, conformance status, and quantity of material processed.
• Leads root cause evaluations and corrective actions utilizing quality tools.
• Prepares charts and simple statistical analysis.
• Coordinates ordering of consumables and small tools for department use.
• Ensures assigned areas meet 6S standards and submits equipment maintenance requests.
• Works effectively in a team environment.
• Maintains a safety‑first approach.
• Demonstrates understanding of QMS, Microsoft, SAP, and ISO standards.
• Is well versed in metrology tools for measurements and inspections.
• Has good handwriting skills.
• Can solve complex practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interprets a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• HS Diploma or GED equivalency (minimum requirement) and related work experience.
• Two or more years in quality department operations.
• Knowledge of TEAMS/SharePoint 2013, Teams, SAP, and other Microsoft products.
• Knowledge of document control standards and protocols.
• Knowledge of prevailing codes (ISO 9001:2015) is preferred.
• Knowledge of rolling stock and rolling stock components is preferred.
• Strong background in the use of metrology tooling.
• 5% travel.
