Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive health histories and physical, psychological, and developmental assessments; assess and manage acute illness, pregnancy, minor trauma, and chronic illness; analyze and interpret health data.
- Provide quality service in a caring and professional manner; commit to team efforts, cost effectiveness, service excellence, and respect for everyone.
- Review findings, determine when to consult or refer; initiate and prescribe treatment plans; administer medications and injections.
- Perform or request laboratory and screening tests; conduct preventive screening procedures.
- Record changes in health status; document actions and revise plan of care to achieve goals.
- Provide patient/family education, develop plans for continued healthcare management, promote health maintenance, coordinate appointments and referrals, and utilize community resources.
- Utilize automated computer systems including electronic medical records; document patient information in a timely manner.
- Act as a resource to patients, other health team members, community, and academic institutions.

Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program. - Experience

Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license, and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required. AHA BLS‑HCP certification required;
Advanced Life Support certification preferred. Eligible for prescriptive authority per state regulations and authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine. - Other

Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers; good written and oral communication skills; computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
