The Nurse Manager (RN) at Kendal at Lexington is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Lexington, VA. The Nurse Manager will oversee nursing operations, manage nursing staff, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality patient care while fostering a person‑centered and inclusive environment.

What You Will Do
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversee daily nursing operations in the Borden Health Center (Skilled Nursing).
  • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and direct care staff, ensuring consistency and excellence in resident care.
  • Coordinate and manage resident assessments, individualized care plans, and ongoing wellness monitoring.
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and engaging community that honors each resident's individuality and autonomy.
  • Serve as a key liaison between residents, families, healthcare providers, and internal departments.
  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as Kendal’s internal policies.
  • Lead and participate in staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive continuous quality improvement and best practices in elder care.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid RN license in the state of Virginia (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and improving healthcare quality and safety standards
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and person‑centered care principles
  • A team‑first attitude, strong clinical judgment, and a passion for serving older adults with dignity and compassion
  • Strong background in Nursing, including leadership and staff supervision abilities
  • Expertise in Nursing and Patient Care with a compassionate and resident‑centered approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and excellent communication skills
