The Nurse Manager (RN) at Kendal at Lexington is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Lexington, VA. The Nurse Manager will oversee nursing operations, manage nursing staff, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality patient care while fostering a person‑centered and inclusive environment.
What You Will Do- Provide clinical leadership and oversee daily nursing operations in the Borden Health Center (Skilled Nursing).
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and direct care staff, ensuring consistency and excellence in resident care.
- Coordinate and manage resident assessments, individualized care plans, and ongoing wellness monitoring.
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and engaging community that honors each resident's individuality and autonomy.
- Serve as a key liaison between residents, families, healthcare providers, and internal departments.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as Kendal’s internal policies.
- Lead and participate in staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive continuous quality improvement and best practices in elder care.
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Virginia (or eligibility for licensure)
- Demonstrated experience in managing and improving healthcare quality and safety standards
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and person‑centered care principles
- A team‑first attitude, strong clinical judgment, and a passion for serving older adults with dignity and compassion
- Strong background in Nursing, including leadership and staff supervision abilities
- Expertise in Nursing and Patient Care with a compassionate and resident‑centered approach
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and excellent communication skills
