Position Overview

The Aquatics Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the aquatics program and customer service interactions. Priorities include ensuring the British Swim School program is delivered according to brand and safety standards, instructor team management, initial and ongoing training, customer conversations as well as teaching lessons when and if necessary. The role also requires due diligence with tracking required certifications, continuing employee development, and competency skills.

Typical Responsibilities
  • Reports directly to the Aquatics Director and/or Business Owner.
  • Interview, hire, onboard, and manage employees to maintain smooth daily aquatics and service operations.
  • Creation of employee schedules and pool lesson schedules.
  • Address and document employee, customer, and pool incidents that occur.
  • Teach and lead swimming lessons as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiastic, assertive personality with strong relationship and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of customer service and/or management experience.
  • Experience in swimming and fitness teaching/management preferred; a specialist aquatics qualification desirable.
  • Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid Certifications (may be obtained during training).
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification.
