The role of Administrator / Document Controller is working for Sapphire Utility Solutions under the United Utilities contract covering the North West from Carlisle down to Cheshire. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Document Controller or someone keen to start out in the Utilities sector.

Location: Leyland & Site based

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday (8am-4.30pm)

Salary: £26,500 per annum

Responsibilities but not limited to
  • Collecting and registering documents such as drawings, reports and specifications in the company's system.
  • Liaising with project team members to ensure documents meet requirements.
  • Compiling construction information (Drawings, Specifications, Remediation and / or Earthworks Strategies).
  • Responsible for collation of technical, Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental records as well as permits, consents and licences.
  • Numbering and labelling documents for identification and reference.
  • Filing and archiving documentation. Archiving site records upon a site completion.
  • Provide information for PQQ submissions.
  • Managing information received from our appointed designers and our suppliers.
  • Ensuring the secure destruction and disposal of sensitive documents.
  • Managing information received from clients or their representatives.
  • Ensuring documents are reviewed and updated as required by the appropriate document owner.
  • Ensure we record information for accreditations CHAS, Safe Contractor and Construction line.
  • Covering the United Utilities area of the North West through site visits. A vehicle will be provided for travel.
Desirable Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Proficient in document management software i.e., 4projects and Microsoft Office, Excel & Word.
  • Industry-specific technical knowledge would be an advantage including understanding of industry terms and processes.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence
