• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects, providing insights that inform decision-making processes.
• Monitor project expenditures and financial performance, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, securing favorable terms and conditions for the company.
• Prepare and submit progress reports, detailing financial status and any potential risks to project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and compliance with project specifications, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors, providing recommendations based on cost and quality.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns related to project costs and timelines.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle, safeguarding the company's interests.
• Utilize industry software and tools to manage data and streamline processes, enhancing overall efficiency.
• Participate in post-project evaluations to analyze performance and identify lessons learned for future projects.

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is essential.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying or a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations relevant to the industry.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial analysis.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and contractors.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving and decision-making.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• A valid driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

• Membership in a professional body such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is advantageous.
• Experience working with utilities or in the water and wastewater sector is a plus.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools, enhancing your ability to manage timelines and budgets effectively.
