A highly supportive mainstream primary school in Leyland is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Primary Teacher to cover a maternity leave during the 2026/2027 academic year
. The role will commence from October half term and provides an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated teaching team.
The successful teacher will play a key role in ensuring pupils continue to receive an engaging and high-quality education throughout the academic year.
Key Duties- Plan, prepare, and deliver outstanding lessons.
- Promote high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Assess and track pupil progress.
- Differentiate learning activities to support all abilities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous experience teaching within primary education.
- Strong knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies.
- Excellent behaviour management skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality education for all pupils.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Paid in line with the Main Pay Scale.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
