What you’ll be doing

The AT/AD Technician will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the waste facility, with particular focus on the Bio-drying Operations and Odour Abatement Systems. The post holder will provide support in the day-to-day operational waste processing activities through hands‑on involvement.

  • Specialist knowledge of Bio-drying, Bio-filters and Ammonia Scrubbers and process services.
  • Willingness to operate mobile plant as required for the role.

Who are we?

Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established for the operation and management of the two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract. Our two facilities in Thornton and Leyland are manned 365 days a year. They can process over 5,000 tonnes of residual waste per week and divert 95% of this material away from landfill. Our aim is to achieve a sustainable future for Lancashire by providing services to process biodegradable and non‑biodegradable household waste.

Our employees work in a variety of operations, maintenance, logistics and support roles across both sites, actively encouraging internal growth through development and training programmes. We are dedicated to providing a positive, supportive work environment with a strong focus on health, safety and wellbeing of all employees.

Hours

40 hours per week, 2‑shift rotation.

Benefits and Conditions

Proof of eligibility to work in the UK; satisfactory completion of a company medical which includes drug and alcohol testing. The company operates a zero‑tolerance policy regarding substance use while on duty and conducts periodic random tests.
