Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Garth, a Category B Prison located in Lancashire with a capacity of around 800 males.
HMP Garth offers:
- Onsite parking
- Access to gym
- Monday - Sunday service - Days and Nights
- 37.5 hours per week
- 8 weeks rolling rota
- Week 1,3,5 - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday 7:30am - 7:45pm
- Week 2,4,6 - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7:30am - 7:45pm
- Week 7 - Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday 7:30pm - 7:45am
- Week 8 - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7:30pm - 7:45am
This position is full time working 37.5 hours per week. You will receive an annual salary between £34,428 and £41,659 per annum depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job- Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse-led service and prevent hospital admissions.
- Undertake medication rounds and dispense controlled medication.
- Attend emergency response situations.
- Assess patients and undertake reception screening.
- Deliver nurse-led clinics to your patient group while being supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
- Provide outstanding quality-based care to all patients.
- Deliver personalized, non-judgmental care based on patient feedback.
- Registered Nurse Adult
- Current professional qualification (NMC)
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
