Parts Administrator - Automotive Manufacturing (Temp to Perm)

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Parts Administrator to support a busy and fast-moving automotive manufacturing environment. This is a key role within the business, providing administrative and operational support across parts, stock control, and supply chain functions. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring workshop and production teams have the parts and materials they need to operate efficiently.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with systems and processes, and has strong attention to detail when managing stock, purchasing, and supplier communications.

About the Role

As a Parts Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day management of parts, inventory, and supply chain activities, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient administrative processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing parts orders and updating the internal system
  • Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers for stock replenishment
  • Monitoring stock levels and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Booking in deliveries and checking goods received against purchase orders
  • Investigating stock discrepancies and supporting stock reconciliation activities
  • Managing parts movements in and out of the workshop and stores areas
  • Maintaining accurate documentation for parts, stock transfers, and deliveries
  • Sourcing parts and materials from approved suppliers where required
  • Supporting engineers and workshop teams with parts availability and order updates
  • Monitoring supplier lead times and following up on outstanding orders
  • Producing stock reports and assisting with inventory audits
  • Updating ERP and stock management systems with accurate information
  • Handling supplier and internal enquiries via telephone and email
  • Providing general administrative support to the workshop, stores, and supply chain teams
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, methodical, and comfortable working within a blue-collar, fast-paced, and sometimes noisy automotive manufacturing environment. You will be confident communicating with suppliers, engineers, warehouse personnel, and production teams while ensuring stock and administrative processes are maintained to a high standard.

Experience with in parts administration, supply chain, stock control, stores, purchasing, or a manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Previous administration experience within manufacturing, engineering, automotive, logistics, parts, or supply chain environments
  • Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-changing operational setting
  • Confident communicator with strong telephone and email skills
  • Experience using stock management, ERP, or inventory systems
  • Good understanding of stock control and purchasing processes
  • Ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams
  • Comfortable working within a busy workshop and production environment
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to work calmly under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and internal business systems
  • Team-focused attitude with a positive and professional approach
