Overview
Proactive Personnel are currently looking for Commercial Vehicle Body Builders to start work for our client based in Leyland.
Responsibilities- Fabrication & Assembly:
Building commercial bodies from scratch, including chassis mounting, flooring, and panelling. - Using MIG/TIG welding techniques for steel, aluminium, and other materials.
- Modifications & Repairs:
Diagnosing damage, repairing vehicle chassis, and retrofitting existing bodies. - Reading blueprints and build plans to ensure accurate assembly.
- Fitting Equipment:
Installing hydraulic equipment, tail lifts, lashing rails, and shutter doors. - Adhering to Health & Safety standards, using PPE, and ensuring high-quality, secure, and compliant finishes.
- Previous experience working with large/heavy vehicle fitting.
- Understanding of electrics, hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
- Proven experience in welding, fabrication, or coachwork.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 05:45am- 16:15pm.
Pay is dependent on experience.
