Overview
Mobile Plant Relief Operative. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Operations team at Lancashire Renewables Ltd, working on a 2-shift system at our Leyland facility.
Responsibilities- Safely undertake mobile plant activities within the waste processing operation.
- When required, support the mobile plant team and carry out general process operative activities associated with processing operations and the general site.
- Operate mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently across the site and support general processing activities to keep operations running smoothly.
- Collaborate with the weighbridge team, logistics, maintenance and other site operatives to keep waste processing operations on track; provide hands-on help when needed.
- Carry out routine paperwork, attend regular team meetings and safety briefings.
- Conduct vehicle checks, perform basic maintenance, and help keep the site clean and tidy while staying safe and compliant.
- NPORS or equivalent for FLT or Tele-truck.
- Willingness to undertake further training to obtain qualifications for operating other mobile plant equipment including FEL.
- A good standard of education and a strong team-player attitude.
- Self-motivation with the ability to work without close supervision.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively at all levels within the business and with external agencies.
- Ability to follow, understand and interpret systems of work and procedures.
- Accuracy in completing pre-use checks on mobile plant.
- A safety-conscious approach with a desire to develop and embrace change to promote continuous improvement.

Lancashire Renewables Ltd was established to operate and manage two waste treatment facilities built for the Lancashire Waste Contract. Our facilities in Thornton and Leyland operate 365 days a year and process over 5,000 tonnes of residual waste per week, diverting 95% away from landfill. Our aim is to provide services to process biodegradable and non-biodegradable community waste and to support our people in achieving a sustainable future.
