I am delighted to be recruiting on behalf of my client, an exceptionally busy and fast‑growing organisation specialising in the design, build, and manufacture of bespoke HGVs to customer order. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company experiencing significant expansion, offering long‑term stability, variety, and genuine progression potential.
About the Role
As an HGV Mechanic, you will join a dedicated workshop and production team responsible for a wide range of mechanical and build-related tasks. Your work will include preparing vehicles for hire, carrying out repairs and maintenance on both company and customer HGVs, and supporting the build and assembly of new, made‑to‑order commercial vehicles.
This is a varied, hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys technical work, problem‑solving, and being part of a high‑performing team within a growing manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing HGVs for hire, including thorough inspection, cleaning, and rectifying any defects
Carrying out mechanical repairs and maintenance on HGV chassis and specialist equipment
Supporting the build and assembly of new custom‑manufactured HGV units
Driving HGVs where required (Class 2 licence desirable but not essential)
What's on Offer
Full‑time, permanent role - 39 hours per week
Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm

Candidate Requirements
Experience working on HGVs is essential
Class 2 licence is desirable
Fabrication experience would be an advantage
