Security Officer Trading Estate

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a professional and reliable Security Officer to join the 1st Reaction Security team at Leyland Trading Estate, Wellingborough
.

This is a permanent position based at a modern industrial and warehouse facility where you’ll play a key role in protecting our client’s premises, assets, and people. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, maintains high professional standards, and can confidently work on their own as well as part of a wider team.

Leyland Trading Estate is a 230,000 sq. ft. industrial, warehouse and workshop facility. The site benefits from excellent welfare facilities, a fully equipped gatehouse, and a supportive working environment.

• Saturday & Sunday:
  06:00 – 18:00
• Monday & Tuesday:
  18:00 – 06:00
• Additional overtime and holiday cover available
• £14.45 per hour
• Up to 28 days’ annual leave (increasing with length of service)

• Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the premises
• Control access for visitors, contractors and vehicles
• Monitor the site and respond appropriately to security or safety concerns
• Maintain accurate occurrence logs, patrol records and incident reports
• Ensure all site rules and assignment instructions are followed
• Act as a visible and professional security presence
• Liaise with the Control Room, emergency services and client representatives when required
• Report maintenance, health and safety, or security issues promptly
• Lock and unlock designated areas in accordance with site procedures

Applicants must have:

• A valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding, Door Supervision or Close Protection)
• A full 5-year checkable work and/or education history
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• The ability to remain calm, alert and professional under pressure
• Good IT literacy and report writing skills
• A reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
