Responsibilities
Position is an integral part of the Automotive Mechanics Technology team. Responsibilities include teaching, conducting laboratory courses, tutoring, and evaluating students. Courses taught will include brakes, suspension, engines, and general services. Program is NATEF (National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation) certified.
Required Qualifications
Certificate in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working as a mechanical technician or related field
Proficiency in automotive engine diagnostic, repair techniques and maintenance procedures
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and foster an inclusive learning environment
Prior teaching or training is preferred
Relevant industry certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) is preferred
Salary Range: Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Selection Process
The search committee will conduct all minimum qualification appraisals as set forth on the position announcement and job description and reserve the right to limit the number of interviews granted. Meeting the minimum qualifications for a position does not assure the applicant an interview. Applicants selected for an interview will be notified of the time and place of the interview. Interviews are usually conducted on campus by the search committee.
