Nurse Evening Shift – Industrial Nurse

National Beef Packing Company LLC, located in Liberal, Kansas, is seeking to hire a qualified Industrial Nurse to provide occupational health and emergency care for employees.

This position is responsible for providing first aid and emergency care for occupational injuries and illnesses, performing drug screens, and maintaining record‑keeping and documentation of visits to health services.

• Provides first aid and medical treatment as needed and conducts initial assessment of on‑job injuries and illnesses; refers for further evaluation as necessary
• Conducts pre‑employment physicals including fitness‑for‑duty examinations, workers’ compensation checks, and drug screens
• Maintains employee health records and prepares accident reports
• Communicates safety concerns to appropriate managers
• Assists company medical provider during weekly clinic hours
• Maintains first‑aid kits, and orders medical supplies as needed
• Safeguards confidentiality of employee health information and records
• Conducts workplace assessments related to health issues and exposure follow‑up
• Assists with implementation of health promotion strategies, including group and individual health education activities
• Other duties as assigned

This is an on‑site, safety‑sensitive position.

• Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse (LPN or RN) in Kansas
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred but not required
• Experience in occupational health or emergency nursing preferred
• Knowledge of case management, workers’ compensation, and OSHA regulations helpful but not required
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to deal effectively with a variety of people and situations
• Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity
• Ability to work with limited supervision and high motivation
• Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines
• Strong computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, HRIS system)
• Bilingual English/Spanish beneficial but not required
• Available to work a flexible schedule
