• Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products, ensuring correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to customers.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients per recipes using kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate actions.
• Properly use kitchen equipment like stoves, scales, fryers, steamers, etc.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
• Understand store layout and locate products for customers.
• Stay current with ads and product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
• Maintain inventory and temperature logs, ensuring proper storage conditions.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and promote trust among associates.
• Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity.
• Support and assist diverse customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
