It must be emphasized that the MAIN DUTY of a lifeguard is that of SAVING LIVES! The aquatic park is potentially the most dangerous facility in any municipality. Lifeguards are utilized to make the water park as safe as possible. PREVENTATIVE LIFEGUARDING techniques should always be employed to avoid trouble.

• Maintain a safe aquatic park environment at the station in which you are assigned.
• Maintain positive public relations with all guests at all times.
• SMILE ? A POSITIVE ATTITUDE towards work, dress code, fellow staff members, and particularly the public is a must.
• Be responsible for yourself-be on time and ready to work!
• Be assertive to enforce all rules with courtesy to guests.
• Do all assigned cleaning tasks to the standards set.
• Complete incident reports once an incident occurs. Record ALL INCIDENTS correctly and accurately.
• Be a proactive employee, if something needs to be done, do the job – without being told specifically!
• Lifeguards are required to wear only approved staff clothing while on duty and/or reporting to or from work. Personal clothing that promotes vulgar or negative graphic will not be tolerated.
• Personal cleanliness is required.
• Must possess punctuality and mature judgment.
• Take pride in the facility.
• Loyalty to the Adventure Bay Family Water Park and management.
