Accounting Specialist (Entry-Level to Early Mid-Level)

Atlas Staffing is hiring an Accounting Specialist for a stable, well-established manufacturing and technology organization in Liberty Lake, WA
. Great fit for someone with a solid accounting foundation who wants broad exposure and room to grow.

Based on market benchmarks and comparable JDs, 2+ years of professional accounting experience typically places this role at the entry-level to early mid-level range. You are not expected to know everything. You are expected to be detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable owning your work.

This role supports day-to-day accounting operations across AP, AR, payroll-related entries, and general ledger work. You will help keep financial processes accurate, compliant, and moving on time, especially during month-end close.

• Process and review vendor invoices, including 3-way matching

• Support customer invoicing, payment application, and basic collections follow-up

• Prepare and post journal entries, including payroll-related entries

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close

• Maintain vendor and customer records, including W-9s and verifications

• Assist with prepaid expense tracking and amortization

• Prepare weekly or scheduled payments, checks, ACH, or wires

• Support internal and external audits by pulling documentation

• Partner with HR, finance, and operations on accounting-related needs

• 2+ years of professional accounting experience

• Proficient in Excel and Office 365

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience preferred

• ERP or accounting system experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines

• Clear communicator who works well independently and with a team

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

• Pay Range: $54,080 – $62,400 per year ($26.00 – $30.00)
