Pharmacist I - rotating shifts - Liberty Twp
Liberty Campus – Full time – 40 hours per week – Regular employee – FTE 1
Job Responsibilities- Medication Orders – Evaluate orders based on patient weight, allergy history, and compatibilities; record orders accurately; complete without error; clarify and resolve problem orders; contact physicians or nurses as needed; pass information to the next shift R.P.H.
- Intravenous Preparations – Train other pharmacists and technicians; prepare all IV preparations (TPN, central lines, antibiotics, chemotherapy) and respiratory therapy syringes per departmental guidelines; check for errors; ensure timely delivery.
- Chemotherapy Orders – Process chemotherapy orders with dosages and calculations checked by two pharmacists; use accepted precautions (gowns, gloves, mat); prepare in appropriate hood; use calculations indicated on the patient cardex.
- Serve as a Resource – Use current references to provide accurate medication information; review patient data to recommend serum concentration timing; handle questions professionally; anticipate and resolve conflicts; assist in decision making; function in any central pharmacy area; take administrative initiative when supervisor unavailable.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm
D Degree - Pharmacist License in Ohio or within 3 months of hire
