Junior Estimator – Civil

An award-winning Kansas City based Civil Contractor is seeking an Estimator to join their growing team. They are searching for someone early in their career that wants to learn and grow with them. • Review project plans and specifications, prepare quantity takeoffs and price all aspects of the project.
• Manage, organize and or be a part of the overall bid and proposal process.
• Reading, quantifying and analyzing construction documents in all trade disciplines. Estimate overhead components.
• Use various system unit pricing across multiple trade disciplines using current and historical market unit pricing.
• Perform system trade off comparisons on a macro scale (structural systems, mechanical systems, foundations, etc).
• Perform conceptual estimates with limited design quickly. Understand the level of detail appropriate for a particular stakeholder. Utilize program square footage costs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience with estimation software (e.g., Agtek Gradework, Highway, Underground and Materials, AutoCAD, HCSS Heavy Bid, and/or Bid2
  
  Win, Bluebeam Revu)
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and the latest industry standards.
