Job Summary

The EH&S Manager – Chemical Facility is responsible for managing all environmental health and safety programs and regulatory compliance efforts at Ba Rup On ’s chemical production site in Liberty, TX. This associate-level leadership role involves implementing EH&S policies, training teams, maintaining safety documentation, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations. The ideal candidate has hands‑on EH&S experience in a chemical or industrial setting and a strong understanding of hazardous materials protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and enforce site‑specific EH&S programs and procedures
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, and DOT regulations
  • Maintain and update SDS files, chemical inventories, and spill response plans
  • Lead incident investigations and coordinate corrective actions
  • Manage employee EH&S training programs and certifications
  • Coordinate with plant management on PPE, lockout/tagout, confined space, and emergency response procedures
  • Maintain required environmental reporting and permits (e.g., Tier II, TRI, stormwater)
  • Serve as the primary EH&S contact for regulatory inspections and audits
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
  • 4–6 years of EH&S experience in a chemical, manufacturing, or industrial plant environment
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and hazardous materials handling
  • Experience managing training programs, safety audits, and regulatory documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, incident tracking systems, and EH&S reporting tools
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work on‑site full‑time in an active chemical processing environment
Preferred Certifications
  • OSHA 30 Certification (required or must obtain within 90 days)
  • HAZWOPER (40‑hour) Certification
  • First Aid/CPR
  • CHMM, CSP, or similar credential (preferred but not required)
