• Ensures all inventory levels and yard functions are accurate, as well as oversee shipments of finished goods and scrap.
• Extensive overall logistics management experience with specific experience in a project management role.
• Ability to communicate with others in an effective and concise manner
• Excellent communication skills in English is a pre-requisite
• Must process strong analytical troubleshooting and problem resolution/solving skills
• Following and implementing health and safety procedures
• Management skills and the ability to prioritize projects and process multiple tasks as required
• Ability to understand complex technical information and translate this information into relevant business terms and concepts
• Capable of developing clear and up-to-date procedural documentation
• Managing customers, vendors and other stakeholders in the delivery of complex project requirements: cost, schedule and quality
• Coordinate and control the order cycle and associated storage and movement of goods between the factory and various sites
• Oversee dispersion of labor to factory and site
• Analyze data to monitor performance and plan improvements to delivery performance
• Analyze logistical problems and produce new solutions
• Manage the team of logistics personnel charged with the task of order preparation and fulfillment
• Ensuring warehouse staff is well-trained and supervised for their job in the logistics area
• Coordinating with all required freight carried including negotiating prices and conditions regularly for the benefit of Southern Tube LLC
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using while numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, and/ or walk, and/ or use arms and hands to load and unload material for extended period of time. Must be able to safely lift and load 50lbs. The employee must also be able to work outside in a variety of conditions. Candidates must be able to tolerate any climate, must be flexible with shift and hours.
