Summary:
The assistant coach supports the head coach in running the athletic program in line with school district policies and IHSA regulations. They help implement training, practices, and game plans while mentoring student-athletes in teamwork, sportsmanship, and development. Responsibilities include ensuring eligibility compliance, assisting with recruitment, and maintaining clear communication. The role also involves supporting administrative tasks, upholding school policies, and serving as a positive role model.
QualificationsProfessional Educator License, Educator License with Stipulations for Paraprofessional – ELS (PARA), Substitute (SUB license must be registered in Lake County), or NFHS certification
Previous experience preferred, but not required
