Provide self-contained classroom instruction at the 4th grade level for a leave of absence position beginning approximately 04/13/2026 through 06/01/2026 (or last day of student attendance). Additional transition days will be required and arranged with the candidate, teacher, and building principal.
Minimum Qualifications- 3+ years teaching experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Valid Illinois PEL License with Elementary endorsement required
- Meets state’s NCLB Highly Qualified Teacher requirements
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Familiarity with Smart Board technology and tablets a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of balanced literacy approach
- Elementary Education K-9 endorsement required
- Experience preferred
- Experience working with the proposed age group
- Experience assessing student achievement and differentiating instruction
- Experience working with English Language Learners
- Experience working with Google Docs
- Experience supporting children in the use of technology
- Ability to learn new technology tools quickly
