Job Overview
School District 103 is seeking to fill a 3rd grade leave of absence teaching position. Leave will begin approximately 04/16/2026 through 06/01/2026 (or last day of student attendance).
Job SummaryProvide self-contained classroom instruction at the 3rd grade level.
Essential Functions- Experience working with the proposed age group
- Experience assessing student achievement and differentiating instruction
- Experience working with English Language Learners
- Experience working with Google Docs
- Experience supporting children in the use of technology
- An ability to learn new technology tools quickly
- 3+ years teaching experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- Candidate must hold a valid Illinois PEL License with Elementary endorsement required
- Meets state's NCLB's Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) requirements
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Familiarity with Smart Board technology and tablets a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong understanding of balanced literacy approach
- Experience with elementary education K‑9 endorsement required
