• Project Lead The Way teacher is responsible for classroom instruction of the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Launch Program for Grades 6-8 which integrates science, technology and math concepts with engineering.
• Attend necessary trainings and professional development opportunities (including summer).
• Participate as an active member of relevant committees including but not limited to technology and science.
• Introduce and implement district selected computer applications with students aligned with the PLTW curriculum.
• Provide leadership to other staff members in the area of technology, Next Generation Science Standards, math and classroom integration.
• Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work environment.
• Be current of required PLTW Gateway training for the multiple grade level classes taught.
• Participate as an active member of any formed STEAM, Technology, Math and Science Committees.

• Bachelor's Degree
• Professional Educator License (PEL)
• Middle School Endorsement in Math, Science, and Technology
• Gateway PLTW training and certification if at Middle School level
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• Knowledge of current educational and instructional methodologies and techniques
• Knowledge of theories and practices of child development
