Description
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to work alongside physicians, assisting with patient care, preparing treatment rooms, taking vital signs, verifying patient information, assisting with procedures, and managing schedules. The role involves supporting the physician and team with various office duties, including administrative tasks and cross-training on front desk responsibilities.
Location: This position is based in our Libertyville & Bannockburn offices, with daily travel to the physician's office and possible local travel within the region.
Reports to: Practice Operations Manager
Responsibilities include:
- Interviewing patients and updating medical records
- Gathering vital signs
- Preparing treatment rooms and patients for exams
- Sterilizing instruments and setting up procedure trays
- Managing medical supplies and inventory
- Taking x-rays
- Performing administrative tasks and supporting front desk duties
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills
- Patient-focused, able to work independently
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
