To assist the unit manager in providing operational and clinical leadership in managing of the daily operation of the operating room with transparent and timely communication across the units within Surgical Services; managing real time situations with physicians, patients, families, and staff with the spirit of collaboration and mentoring the team as the constant support resource for the department.

• Operational Accountability - Supports the operational accountability for nursing unit during assigned shift.

• Nurse, Registered (RN)

• Current licensure as RN in Illinois
  • 3 yr experience in specified area
  • 1 yr experience on specific unit
  • BSN preferred
  • Experience as a charge nurse – at least one year

  • May be exposed to hazardous materials and life-threatening diseases.
• If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 11/03/2016. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available.
  
  Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
