Job Description
Senior QC Inspector
We are seeking an experienced Senior QC Inspector with a strong manufacturing background, preferably in metal fabrication. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality, resolving complex quality issues, improving inspection processes, and working closely with Production and Engineering to maintain high standards. The ideal candidate has advanced inspection knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to mentor others and make critical quality decisions
Requirements of the Senior QC Inspector
- Strong manufacturing quality experience, preferably in metal fabrication, including sheet metal, punching, bending, welding, and assembly
- Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
- Experience using precision inspection equipment and interpreting dimensional measurements
- Strong knowledge of quality standards, including ISO 9001, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and nonconformance reports (NCR)
- Proven experience with root cause analysis and preventing recurring quality issues
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and quality process improvements
- Ability to mentor and train inspectors and collaborate with Production and Engineering
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Responsibilities of the Senior QC Inspector
- Serve as a senior quality resource for inspection and manufacturing quality concerns
- Perform and oversee inspections to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T requirements, and technical drawings to verify product conformity
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for quality issues
- Identify recurring defects and implement solutions to prevent future issues
- Maintain quality documentation, including nonconformance reports and corrective action records
- Support ISO 9001 requirements and continuous improvement efforts
- Work with Production and Engineering to resolve quality concerns and improve processes
- Train and mentor inspectors on inspection methods, equipment, and quality procedures
- Make quality-related decisions and escalate concerns when necessary, including stopping production to address serious quality issues
- Help establish consistent inspection practices and maintain quality standards throughout manufacturing
1st shift, DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $30.00 - $35.00 hourly, willing to pay more based on experience
