• Order food from distributor.
• Check daily deliveries for accuracy and call distributor’s Customer Service Department to report errors.
• Prepare and serve lunches to students and some staff.
• Keep track of and report how many lunches are sold by category (Free, reduced, full price and staff). Record accurately on daily and monthly sheets.
• Turn in reports at the end of each month to the Food Service Coordinator within three days. Delivery receipts from distributors like milk and bread companies are turned in at the end of each week.
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness: no storage of food on floors or under sinks; clean ovens, racks, milk coolers, and refrigerators daily and/or weekly.
• Abide by all health department and Standard of Operations rules; complete required testing and ongoing training in a timely manner.
• Maintain a cheerful attitude and serve as a positive adult role model for students.
• Demonstrate the computer knowledge and skills required to perform food service duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Coordinator.

• Works well with students, staff, and parents.
• Must complete a criminal background check.
• Food certification is a plus.
• One to two years of computer experience is necessary.
• Abide by all District 3 policies and procedures.
• For training purposes, may be rotated to other kitchens as needed.

Food Service Coordinator

• 174 days contract with daily schedule to be established by the Food Service Coordinator in conjunction with the District Business Manager.
• Employed annually by the Board of Education upon recommendation of the Food Service Coordinator.
• May be rotated to other kitchens for training purposes as needed.
