Learning Support Assistant – Nursery Based TA

Fixed Term Contract Nursery Based.

Start Date:

W/C 13th April 26 (pending Enhanced DBS disclosure).

Hours:

20 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 08:45 > 12:45). Grade 3 SCP 4. FTE Salary: £25,185.00. Fixed Term to 31/08/26.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring person to join our Nursery team, working alongside the Nursery Lead during morning sessions (8:45am to 12:45). This role will focus on providing high-quality care and learning opportunities for our youngest children as the provision continues to grow.

• Provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for Nursery children during afternoon sessions.
• Support children’s play, learning, and social development in line with their individual needs.
• Contribute to planning and delivering engaging, age‑appropriate activities in partnership with the Nursery Lead.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to strengthen home–school links.
• Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing, and independence in line with school policies.

• A relevant Level 3 childcare/early years qualification is desirable.
• Paediatric First Aid training is highly desirable/necessary (if not already held, the successful candidate will be supported to complete this training).
• Additional training in safeguarding, behaviour management, or SEND support would be an advantage.
