Class Teacher - SEND School

Are you an experienced and compassionate Class Teacher with a passion for supporting young people with Autism and additional learning needs? This lovely special school in South Birmingham is seeking a committed Class Teacher to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis.

This school caters for secondary-aged students with Autism and complex learning needs, offering a supportive environment and personalised curriculum. As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons to meet a wide range of needs. You will work alongside skilled teaching assistants and benefit from excellent leadership and CPD opportunities. This role requires a teacher who is patient, creative, and passionate about helping every pupil thrive.

Job Role:

Teaching a class of pupils with Autism and complex learning needs
Planning and delivering a tailored curriculum based on individual needs
Working closely with teaching assistants and therapists to support pupils' development
Managing behaviour positively using consistent, nurturing strategies
Contributing to the wider life and ethos of the school
