The OpportunityDue to ongoing demand, the school is looking for multiple Teaching Assistants to provide additional classroom support and cover staff absence, training and other school requirements.

Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Teaching Assistant
, you will:
- Support primary-aged pupils with a range of SEND needs
- Provide support both in and outside of the classroom
- Assist teachers with engaging, personalised and inclusive learning activities
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Support children with communication, social, emotional and learning needs
- Promote independence, confidence and personal development
- Help create a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment
- Support pupils with their individual learning and development goals
- Work closely with teachers and the wider school team
- A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience working with children with additional needs is desirable
- A patient, caring and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND
- The ability to provide a minimum of two years’ employment and/or education references
- At least one reference must comment on your experience and interaction when working with children or young people
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education
