Project Engineer, Engineering Design & Technologists

This permanent, full-time Contracts & Project Engineer role is based in Lichfield (WS13) with a competitive salary dependent on experience. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end technical and commercial delivery of bespoke sewage and wastewater treatment equipment contracts, bridging design engineering, factory fabrication, site installation and client handover. Responsibilities include ensuring equipment packages are engineered, manufactured, tested and delivered in line with client specifications, timelines, budgets and safety regulations.

This position suits an experienced engineer seeking a permanent contract with a well-established manufacturing company., The Contract / Project Engineer oversees the end-to-end technical execution and commercial delivery of bespoke sewage and wastewater treatment equipment manufacturing contracts. This role bridges the gap between design engineering, factory fabrication, site installation and client handover.

The successful candidate will ensure that high-value equipment packages are engineered, manufactured, tested, and delivered strictly in line with client specifications, agreed timelines, budget baselines, and safety regulations

• Manage the complete lifecycle of equipment manufacturing contracts from initial design reviews through fabrication, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), delivery, and installation support.
• Review client specifications, process requirements and models/drawings to ensure absolute alignment with manufacturing capabilities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering functions, Process, Mechanical & Electrical to finalize equipment designs.

• Act as the primary interface between the manufacturing business, client representatives, and sub-contractors on all technical and contractual matters.
• Monitor project finances, tracking costs
