This role as a Senior Care Assistant - Nights at Avery Healthcare's Darwin Court Care Home in Lichfield involves supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Main duties of the jobYour focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities include monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being involved in the person‑centred care planning process, supporting residents with their medication requirements, undertaking staff supervisions, and acting as a key point of contact.

Job responsibilities- Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, aware of any changes impacting care, ensuring new needs are met and records updated.
- Being involved in person‑centred care planning – implementing, monitoring, and evaluating monthly plans.
- Supporting residents with medication requirements.
- Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff development where required.
- Acting as a key point of contact with residents, relatives, visitors and health and social care professionals, ensuring requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Qualifications- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in care for care homes.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
- DBS Disclosure check – cost met by Avery Healthcare.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will have a caring, supportive and accountable approach to your role, with the ability to adapt to changing duties and work effectively as part of a team.
