We are looking for a Quality Inspector / Quality Assurance Technician to join our client to support the Quality function by ensuring products and processes meet required customer, internal and industry quality standards. The Quality Inspector / Quality Assurance Technician will carry out inspections, maintain quality documentation, support investigations, and work closely with production teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Quality Inspector will conduct first-off, in-process and final inspections of components and assemblies.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications of customer requirements.
  • Perform dimensional inspections using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometre s, height gauges and other inspection tools.
  • Complete and maintain inspection reports and quality records accurately.
  • Raise and support investigations into non-conformances and assist with corrective actions.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
  • The Quality Inspector will assist with internal quality audits and process checks.
  • Ensure all documentation is controlled and maintained in accordance with company procedures.
  • Liaise with production, engineering and management teams regarding quality issues and improvements.
  • Assist with customer and supplier quality matters where required.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of quality standards and systems.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in line with company procedures.

Skills / Experience

Required:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a Quality Assurance/ Quality Technician / Inspector role within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience using inspection equipment and measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good computer skills and experience with quality documentation.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Experience with in fabrication, welding, machining or precision engineering environments.
  • Knowledge of ISO quality systems (e.g. ISO 9001).
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis tools and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Knowledge of CMM measuring equipment.
