Fleet Maintenance Planner –

Location:

Lichfield. Salary: £35,000 per annum.

Hours:

45 per week.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:30pm. On‑Call: 1 night in every 10.

We are seeking an experienced and organised Fleet Maintenance Planner to join our team based in Lichfield. The company is a family ran business that has been established for over 100 years, they are one of the best within industry.

• Plan and schedule routine maintenance, inspections, and MOTs, and manage reactive repair work.
• Liaise with drivers, workshops, and external suppliers to keep vehicle downtime to an absolute minimum.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure that all vehicles meet legal and safety requirements.
• Monitor fleet performance and flag any issues that could affect availability or operations.
• Participate in an on-call rota, covering one night in every ten, to support urgent or out-of-hours maintenance needs.

• Experience in fleet maintenance planning, transport operations, or a similar role (ideally).
• Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise, and excellent communication.
• Knowledge of HGV/LCV compliance requirements and familiarity with fleet or maintenance systems.
