Warehouse Supervisor

Warehouse Supervisor
The Cotswold Company
· Fradley Park Distribution Centre, Lichfield
· Permanent, full-time

Behind every piece of furniture we send out is a warehouse that runs beautifully. That's where you come in.

The Cotswold Company designs timeless, well-made furniture and homeware — built to last, and backed by our signature 15-year guarantee. As we grow, our distribution centres are busier than ever. We're looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to help keep it all moving safely, smoothly and to the standard our customers expect.

The role

Working alongside our Warehouse Shift Managers, you'll take the lead on the day-to-day running of the floor. You'll keep goods-in, goods-out, replenishment and cycle counts accurate and on time — and bring out the best in the team around you.

It's a role for someone who leads with care. You'll coach and motivate Team Leaders and Warehouse Operatives, keep safety front of mind, and spot the small improvements that add up to a better operation.

A typical day might include

  • Overseeing core warehouse processes — goods-in, goods-out, replenishment and cycle counts — with a close eye on accuracy and timing
  • Coaching, developing and motivating the team, in line with our people policies
  • Keeping H&S and MHE checks up to date, and raising anything that needs attention
  • Working with our QC team to keep inventory accurate and workloads flowing
  • Managing communications with service providers and stakeholders
  • Staying on top of pallets, stillages and other non-inventory assets, to avoid disruption and cost
  • Playing your part in team meetings and planning

What we're looking for

  • Strong leadership, and a natural way of bringing people with you
  • A good awareness of health and safety
  • Real attention to detail, and a genuine drive to reduce errors and improve efficiency
  • Comfortable with the basics — Excel, Word and similar
